Ministry of Agriculture's Undersecretary of Fish Resources Affairs Eng. Jaber Mohammed Al-Shehri , signed a memorandum of understanding with a company specialized in aquaculture aiming to conduct experiments of Vannamei shrimp and fish via biofloc technology in different medium conditions in Saudi Arabia.

MOA works on providing creative solutions for aquaculture sector in Saudi Arabia ensuring sustainable productivity and environmental safety in the same time. The ministry signed this memorandum of understanding based on the primary studies which proved the experiment success on the research level as well as availability of success signs on commercial aspect and reaching the targeted production rates according to aquaculture sustainable development plan in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the ministry works according to clear work strategies of joint work with private sector with regard to fish resources industry through Saudi Aquaculture Society.
