Procedures for obtaining licenses for aquaculture projects
These procedures aim to approve the issuance of licenses for aquaculture projects, and monitor their activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The terms used in these procedures, which had been defined in the controls have the same meaning set forth in the controls.
These controls address the initial licensing and qualification procedures, and also submitting the initial technical and economic feasibility study of the aquaculture project, and presenting it to the Approval Committee and also obtaining approval from Border Guards in case of marine water projects, and then the final evaluation of the feasibility study and obtaining the license.
The controls also offer some important stipulations related to obtaining the license, which include that the duration of the license is 30 years, subject to renewal, as well as the need to begin construction and operational works of the project within a period not exceeding two years from the date of issuing the license, in addition to a number of other requirements and stipulations.
