Procedures for issuance of licenses to the coastal aquaculture projects

These measures aim to approve the mechanisms of issuing licenses to coastal aquaculture projects and monitoring their activities. They include the area of farming, care and harvesting of marine aquatic organisms in the coastal areas adjacent to the sea which use seawater as a medium for culture.

The controls’ file includes specific definitions of some terms used in issuing licenses for aquaculture projects in the coastal areas, and a form containing the stages of issuance of the license, then presenting to the Approval Committee, followed by the stage of presentation to the five-member committee, then the approval stage and finally the feasibility study stage and giving details of some factors and requirements that must be addressed by the feasibility study of the coastal aquaculture projects.
