These procedures aim to approve the mechanisms of issuing licenses to inshore floating cage aquaculture projects and monitoring their activities.
The controls’ file includes specific definitions of some terms used in issuing licenses for aquaculture projects using floating cage culture systems, and a form containing the stages of issuance of the license, and presenting to the approval Committee, followed by the stage of presenting to the five-member committee, then the approval stage and finally the feasibility study stage and giving details on some factors and requirements that must be addressed by the feasibility study of the cage culture projects.
