On Sunday 2nd Rabei I 1437 H corresponding to 13/12/2015, Saudi Aquaculture Society in association with Ministry of Agriculture held the 9th Biosecurity Workshop in Aquaculture Projects in Saudi Arabia in the Holiday Inn Hotel in Jeddah. 
This workshop comes within the regular workshops held by Saudi Aquaculture Society in cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture about biosecurity program. The workshop was held in the presence of several representatives of aquaculture projects whether shrimps or fish projects as well as biosecurity expert in Ministry of Agriculture' Biosecurity Unit to show the latest updates with regard to biosecurity and the findings of samples analyses made by Biosecurity Unit. 
In addition, the workshop reviewed the experiences of certain projects with regard to applying biosecurity procedures and production programs. It is said that Ministry of Agriculture, in another step to enhance the role of control and follow up with regard to biosecurity, issued special cards for certain officials in biosecurity sector allowing them to access any project of aquaculture projects when demanded.
