Aquaculture projects’ Bio-security committee held the Eighteenth Meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Ministry of Agriculture’sheadquarters in Riyadh, chaired by His Excellency,Deputy Minister for Fishery Resources; Engineer Ahmed Al-Eiadh with participation of His Excellency,Engineer Ahmad Al-Ballaa;Directors BoardChairman of Saudi Aquaculture Society (SAS) and committee’s members.
As attendees listened to a presentation on the latest developments relating to the current status of Bio-security program in aquaculture projects by bio-security advisor at Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Luis Fernando.
This meeting takes place at a time that Bio-security program in aquaculture sector is witnessing a remarkable development which is culminated recently with signing the contract of bio-security control in Saudi aquaculture projects with Saudi AquacultureSociety, which expected to place a paradigm shift in Bio-security program performance and expanding the scope of work, in line with evolution of production volume and numberof aquaculture projectsduring upcoming period.
