Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture will hold the Madina opportunities forum in the environment, water and agriculture sector in Madinah in the conference hall of the University of Taibah on Thursday, 6 Jumada Al-Akhar 1439H (22 February 2018).
Madina Opportunities Forum aims at activating the initiatives of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the National Transformation 2020 Program to achieve the objectives of water and food security in Saudi Arabia, sustainability of resources, preserving the environment, maximizing the GDP and creating jobs through a diversified economic base.The Saudi Aquaculture Society participates in the Forum as a strategic partner where aquaculture and its products will be among the investment opportunities available in Madinah.
Among the opportunities presented at the forum are investment opportunities in the aquaculture sector, which is one of the important areas that will provide food and contribute to achieving food security in the Kingdom and one of the axes of economic and social development and sustainable development of coastal rural areas. And the establishment of the National Center for Fisheries Products, which develops and promotes the consumer pattern of fish through the provision of safe and healthy national products of high quality. Which are related to the Ministry's initiatives for the fisheries sector.
