The Director General of the General Directorate of Fisheries & the CEO of the National Fisheries Development Program, Dr. Ali Bin Mohammed Al Shaikhi welcomed the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dr. Esmatallah Fezallah and the First Secretary of the Embassy Alyad Oyabem Mamatov on Thursday, 17th Shaban 1439H (corresponding to 3rd May 2018) at his office in the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Riyadh, 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the aspects of cooperation and the desire of the Uzbek side to get benefits from the Saudi expertise in the field of aquaculture industry. The Uzbek side has been happier in cooperation in the field of aquaculture, praised the development and growth of the aquaculture industry in the Kingdom. The both sides has also discussed possibilities of exporting Saudi national products to the Uzbek markets.

The Director General of the General Directorate of Fisheries & the CEO of the National Fisheries Development Program, Dr. Ali Bin Mohammed Al Shaikhi has stressed that there was an agreement between the two sides to hold workshops in the presence and participation of the private sector. On the other hand, the Uzbek side has expressed its desire to provide investment opportunities in the field of aquaculture in Uzbekistan through a visual presentation. At the end of the meeting, Uzbek side has agreed to visit the National Aquaculture Group, one of the leading national models in the aquaculture industry in the Kingdom.
