On the sideline of Launching SAMAQ's Expanding Project ceremony which was held on Sunday, May 27th , 2018,the Secretary General of Saudi Aquaculture Society, Eng. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Odaibi, and the Secretary General of Consumer Protection Association, Samar Bint Abdullah Al Qahtani signed a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Aquaculture Society and Consumer Protection Association at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Riyadh.
The memorandum of understanding includes a lot of areas such as exchanging studies and research, development of regulations and legislation to improve the quality of markets for fish products, exchanging expertise between the two parties and holding workshops to educate consumers and to support them to consume safe and healthy aquaculture products produced according to best practices and highest quality standards. Consumer Protection Association (CPA)
An independent organization aiming at protecting and promoting consumers’ right , formed by the Saudi cabinet decree number no 120 issued on 23/2/143H to provide consumers with the necessary protection by providing education and awareness activities on consumer rights and by promoting the necessary network of protection against all kinds of fraud and deception of consumers.
