On 02/09/1440 H corresponding to 07/05/2019, The Undersecretary of Ministry of Environment, Water, & Agriculture Eng. Ahmed Al-Eyada honors Dr. Victoria Alday-Sanz, Director of Biosecurity and Breeding Programmes at Saudi Arabia's National Aqua Group (NAQUA) during reception in his office in Ministry of Environment, Water, & Agriculture, Riyadh.
Honoring was attended by HM CEO of National Programme of Fish Resources Sector Development Dr. Ali Al-Sheikhi, Chairman of Saudi Aquaculture Society Eng. Ahmed Al-Balaa, and General Secretary of Saudi Aquaculture Society, Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Odaibi
This honoring comes in recognition of the distinct efforts done by Dr. Victoria who has great contributions in establishing and developing biosecurity control programme in aquaculture projects in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The program is classified as one of the distinct models of biosecurity all over the world and was praised by international organizations especially the FAO. This was reflected on the development of productivity in aquaculture projects in Saudi Arabia as well as recording high growth rates since launching the programme; production recorded annual growth of 39.6% over the last eight years.
Dr. Victoria Alday-Sanz has been working for more than 8 years as advisor in the field of biosecurity and shrimp diseases in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Currently, She is an international expert in the field of biosecurity shrimp health and diseases.
