The Saudi Aquaculture Society, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, held a training course on Monday morning, December 16, 2024, at KAUST, presented by the Institute of Oceanography of China (IOCAS) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency of the Kingdom of Thailand (NSTDA), represented by the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTIC). The course aims to identify and develop the most prominent genetic traits and markers in farmed shrimp and develop viral adaptation mechanisms in farmed shrimp to resist white spot disease (WSSV).
