On the sidelines of the workshop, which was held on Monday, November 17, 2014, a meeting was held which included experts from the Dutch side, headed by Mr. Hans, the Agricultural Counselor in the Embassy, as well as a group of Saudi investors in the field of aquaculture, headed by E.Ahmed Al-Eyadah the Director General of Aquaculture Department, Sayed/ Ahmed Al Eyadah, who invited the two sides to take advantage of this opportunity and the significant presence of investors in the workshop, to hold a meeting in order to promote mutual understanding between the two sides, as well as arranging a possible visit of the Saudi investors willing to cooperate with the Dutch side in order to visit Holland and look closely into the advanced Dutch experience in the area of closed systems aquaculture used.
The Director General of Aquaculture Department also expressed his happiness to see one of the examples of fruitful cooperation between the two sides, which was the product of the previous workshop held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture in Riyadh in September 2013. HE expressed his willingness to see more examples of the joint co-operation between the two sides aimed at developing the farming methods and achieving the common interest between the two sides.
